I'm glad you take good notes. Interesting info in these 8 approaches. It still seems that these rather large companies are only skimming the surface here. They are engaging WITH their customers, but not actually ENGAGING their customers in terms of creating movements yet.

How do we get these companies to start REALLY using social media instead of just dabbling? ;)

Ray -- I second Debbie and Scott. This is a terrific outline! Thanks for coming out to the event, and thanks for taking the time to put this all together.

Robin -- To answer your question, BlogWell was recorded and videotaped. We'll have more info next week about how it will be made available. Check back at http://gaspedal.com/blogwell or http://blogcouncil.org/blog.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Michael

Ray, this was a great outline! More examples like these are needed. What was interesting to me was that although there is a lot of "Listening" happening, the real value of "Understanding" through analytics still seems to be very manual. I'm thinking that as these kinds of projects become more prevalent, more and more analytic and engagement automation is going to be needed.

I love the case studies. Are the details of these companies' experiences available? I'd especially like to know exactly how Walmart determined cost savings.

Ray,

This is a great write-up - thanks! I was really sorry I couldn't attend (I'm based on the East Coast). Question: is this everyone who spoke? I heard via Twitter that there were some interesting questions from the audience - from Google, etc.
